Our Founding Narrative
Karuna Holistic Hospital and Institute of Medical Sciences was born out of a profound compassion for underserved communities. On January 7, 2021, the journey began in a modest tin house in Buniadpur. Despite the minimalist facility, the deep community need was immediately evident: 135 patients arrived on the very first day seeking medical care.
Our Evolution
Guided by visionary medical professionals and healthcare administrators including Sr. Dr. Regina Kottakkal (Surgeon & Director), Sr. Marina Thapa (Administrator), and dedicated clinicians like Dr. S. K. Mukherjee (MD Medicine), the hospital steadily built modern physical wings, surgical suites, inpatient wards, and comprehensive diagnostic facilities.
Today, KHHIMS stands as a beacon of clinical hope in Dakshin Dinajpur, treating thousands of outpatient and inpatient cases annually without compromising on humanitarian warmth and ethical medical practice.
